Florida was a territory of the United States from 1821 when it was purchased from  Spain until it achieved statehood in 1845.  During this period the territorial government tendered two issues of currency.  The 1829 issue consisted of 50c, $1, $2, $3 and $5 notes, all are extremely rare and almost never offered for sale.  The second issue, dated 1830 and 1831, consisted of $1, $2, $3 and $5 notes.  While rare, these notes are sometimes available, and we may be able to obtain them for you even if we don't have them in stock.  Contact us if you need any of these notes.  Note:  a few unissued remainder notes of the second issue also exist.  They were printed with the original plates on period paper, but their exact origin remains unknown, so they are not as costly as the issued notes.  At this time we can offer:
